ROBERT BUTLER

Robert Butler is a speaker, educator, life coach, & certified social worker. Recognized for his gifted speaking ability, Robert was selected to speak at the 2016 TEDx forum at the University Of Central Arkansas. His wisdom and insights have taken many by storm, making him a sought after speaker at engagements across the country including workshops and guest lectures at various universities. Robert is currently signed to FCA where he, dedicates his time to speaking at prisons and engaging the lives of students in the Little Rock K-12 system.

Drawing from his own personal experiences as they relate to overcoming poverty and its cyclical effects, coming from a marginalized identity, struggling academically, and surmounting various obstacles, Robert allows his life to be an “open book” from which radiates dynamic and inspiring messages that relate to many people.

Unlike the typical college graduate, Robert has developed the skills to navigate social structures that are different from the impoverished world he has come from as a kid raised in the inner-city of Chicago and Minneapolis. For many, Robert’s tumultuous upbringing would signal the end of any future academic aspirations. For Robert, it was an opportunity to develop a triumphant underdog story. In April 2016, Robert defended his Graduate Thesis on “In The Middle: Black Males Deemed Not College Ready,” and in 2016, he received his Master of Science Degree in College Student Personnel Services and Administration from The University of Central Arkansas.
